From pruning to shortening the shoots, from thinning the bunches to green pruning, up to the harvest and winemaking, all operations done by hand. From generation to generation the artisanal winemaking techniques have been passed on to Andrea who jealously guards them. The love for the land and the vines and the consistency in hand-made work make Il Barone wines different from all the others. The limited use of technology makes the result even more particular and rich in properties.

  • BALLABIO Soc. Agr. s.r.l.

    BALLABIO Soc. Agr. s.r.l.

    principle
The Ballabio company was founded in 1905 by a man, Angelo Ballabio, and his dream: to create his own classic sparkling wine, with fermentation in the bottle, using only Pinot Noir grapes, capable of competing with the best Champagnes of the time.
Talking about the founder today is to remember a rare man, known and loved as one of the pillars of Oltrepadana sparkling wines. An eclectic figure of self-taught wine, he wanted to shape something entirely of himself, with connotations such as to emerge from the anonymous mass of small local production still devoid of that product identity that the consumer rigorously demands.

  • BENEDETTI LA VILLA AZ.AGR.

    BENEDETTI LA VILLA AZ.AGR.

    An ancient history of wines
Benedetti The Villa is on the one hand the name of the family, the Benedetti, who have been cultivating these lands and producing their wines since the mid-19th century and, on the other hand, it recalls the Roman villa from the 2nd and 3rd century AD, found in 1887 in subsoil of the farm at a depth of seven meters. The excavations, now covered, have brought to light wonderful mosaic floors, some fragments of which are currently on display in the Museum of Ancient Art in Verona.
For this reason, for many years, the family name has also been associated with "La Villa" and the trademark is stylized as one of the characters represented in the mosaics, the black Charioteer of Negrar, who drives a chariot pulled by two race horses with plumes of vineyard fronds.

At a very young age Antonio began producing wine and sold it in the famous straw-lined flasks. But it was in 1920, as soon as the Great War ended, that the decision to found the Cantine Bennati company together with his son Annibale took shape.

  • BIRRONE

    BIRRONE

    We do it all

The independence of a craft brewery since 2016 is an extremely important and fundamental value. Since 2016, some important national breweries have been acquired totally or in part by industries in the sector, allowing them to operate with industrial methods.

The loss of independence requires that other parties, other than the brewery, decide strategies and objectives. Birrone has not only always been independent, but it is also a single-member LLC. The only partner is Simone Dal Cortivo and it is he who defines the company policies.

CA' DEL COLLE di FACCHIN MAURO

  • CAMIGLIANO

    CAMIGLIANO

Camigliano was certainly inhabited in the remote past by the Etruscans, who followed the course of the Ombrone river from the coastal areas of the Maremma. It then became a village of some importance in the early Middle Ages, an outpost of Montalcino, with which it shared the fight in the defense of republican freedom in the mid-16th century.

THE CAMIGLIANO CASTLEThe castle, understood as a fortified inhabited nucleus, established itself already in the 13th century with a significant demographic growth and in 1278 it was found that it had 150 fires inside. After a period of dependence on the Abbey of Sant'Antimo during the 1200s Camigliano was attracted into the Sienese orbit and in the following years the representatives of some of the major city families (Gallerani, Bonsignori) implemented a strong neo-noble patrimonial expansion destined to supplant the traditional secular and ecclesiastical presences and to compress the nascent affirmation of small peasant property. The noble presence is also felt in Camigliano which passed under the hegemony of these families for many years during the 13th century but the fact remains that the local community will never disappear completely from the populous Castle of Camigliano, where the strong component rural seems to have maintained its vitality for a few centuries. The current manor house was built inside the access door (called "borgone") of the ancient "castle" taking advantage of the volume of the ancient walls that surrounded the town. The symbol of Camigliano: the camel, found in a 13th century seal, is perhaps due to the influence of the papacy in the area, and is hypothesized to be linked to the movements of the crusades that reached the holy land.

Cantina Colli Euganei is a cooperative that today brings together around 680 producers, spread throughout the territory protected by the Colli Park. For our members we are a daily point of reference, in every phase of the life of our wines: oenological consultancy, technical-training assistance for winemakers, great attention to quality choices, in the vineyard as in the cellar, are our practice every day.

With 7 million kilos of grapes harvested, 5 million liters of wine produced and 2 million bottles distributed, we are the largest producer in the area.

But these numbers would count for nothing if in every single sip of our reds and whites we didn't hear the full character of a wine that can tell a long story.

  • CANTINAIA

    CANTINAIA

    OUR HISTORY

    Cellar of the Court

The company, recently founded in Florence in Via dell'Amorino, has the objective of selecting and making known, through its own brand, the best Italian wines in terms of quality/price ratio of a specific territory or grape variety.

The partners who started the project want to invest with passion in knowledge and attention to detail and have chosen as consultant an oenologist and "winemaker" with great international experience, Mario Zuffada.

The company philosophy immediately appears clear: the choice of name and logo are the result of intense study work aimed at evoking the concepts of human work and the territory in which the company was born.

“Cantinaia” is the fusion of the words “Cantina” and “Aia”, that is, two of the places in which most human activities took place on the Tuscan farm. The name therefore recalls the concept of doing (hence "farm") and places them within a territory in which the Renaissance was born, the true driving force from which our modern world originates.

The company brand is built around two evocative symbols: the coat of arms of the Arte dei Vinattieri (the glass) inserted inside the graphic representation of a wine hole (or hole), that is, that architectural element on the facade of some Renaissance buildings Tuscans which allowed wine to be served directly on the street.

    CENNATOIO EMILIANO ALESSI FIRENZE SRL

    Who is Emiliano?

    Milk and Wine

Everything took place and takes place in the colors of the contained nature of Chianti from the dark green of the cypresses, to the mild green vineyards, up to the red of the sunsets, which Homer would call the color of wine.

I made my first harvest in my mother's belly in the autumn of 1971.

    Bread Wine and Sugar

The first steps in the marl sandstone of the rows, and so on in the passage of time with the song of the crickets in the summer heat and then the succession of the harvests and the relative delay of the beginning of the lessons, with the placid good of the Barnabite fathers in change of the Vinsanto for the Holy Mass.

    Good Wine and Good Food

The trips I have undertaken thanks to wine have made me discover unique destinations and places, enriching my cultural and human baggage, already well founded thanks to the passion transmitted by my parents.

I met people who guided and trained me, becoming unique and indispensable mentors for me, Franco, Sandra, Gianfranco, Alessandro, who with glass after glass, pairings and anecdotes, led me to consolidate my awareness of becoming a selector of the best , dispenser of happiness for those who have the joy of appreciating everything that surrounds them, and perhaps with the ambition of approaching those who have not yet had the good fortune to stop and consider our Memory of Tradition.

  • CONATI MARCO Az. Agr.

    CONATI MARCO Az. Agr.

Located in Valpolicella right in the center of the town of Fumane, the company was founded immediately after the First World War, by will and work of Marco Conati's father, but the Conatis have been present in the Verona area for generations with their own wines, Amarone and valpolicella. The quantities of Amarone and Valpolicella wine produced were naturally related to the historical moment of the area and the availability of the family-run company.

In 1980 Marco Conati, after graduating from high school, increased the production volumes of Valpolicella and Amarone.

In the 90s, the desire to improve the quality of its products sought a further selection of the grapes and the start of refining part of the Amarone production in wood.

The proposal of the first bottles begins: wines of great structure, linked to a historical-classical philosophy especially for Amarone.

  • PODERE PAVOLINI

    PODERE PAVOLINI

For three generations my Terzoni family has been cultivating their own vineyards on the hills of the upper Val d'Arda in Località Paolini di Bacedasco Alto, in the municipality of Vernasca (PC), where the winery and the agricultural company are also located.

The company was led for over half a century by my father Luigi who, according to the customs of the time, produced and marketed wines of that era, mostly loose in demijohns.

In the 1980s I returned from Alba (CN), where I obtained a diploma as an wine technician and, applying the new theories and knowledge acquired, I

was promoted to field oenologist (law 10 April 1991, N. 129). Passion

transmitted from father to son and the spirit of innovation have merged into a single objective: to enhance the typical grapes of the area, little known to large crowds, but always appreciated for the production of excellent quality wines.

I'm talking about Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Ortrugo, Fortana and Bonarda.

My father also left me the task of taking care of the vineyard and today, with love and parsimony, I dedicate my time to the work of almost 5 hectares, located on lands with slopes varying from 5 to 12% and heights between 200 and 250 meters above sea level.

I produce around 30,000 bottles of wine per year, divided between white and red wines, mainly classic method sparkling wines and refermented in the bottle, but also still wines and a passito wine.

With the desire to experiment and the urge to understand, I have accumulated considerable experience, also gained thanks to collaboration with great oenologists and curious researchers. This wealth of acquired knowledge is the basis of the personality and quality of Podere Pavolini wines, appreciated and recognized far beyond provincial borders.

PODERI LUIGI EINAUDI AZIENDA AGRICOLA SRL

A few lines are enough to outline the figure of Luigi Einaudi, historic founder of the winery that bears his name, as well as the first democratically elected President of the Republic.

In that fruit cut in half there was pragmatism, sobriety and Piedmontese parsimony, the attachment to his peasant origins that distinguished him throughout his life.

But Einaudi was also an economist: when in 1897, young and without means, he purchased his first farm in San Giacomo a Dogliani, it was not just nostalgia for the past and his own origins.

He was convinced that agriculture would bring Piedmont out of the crisis of those years.

Relaunching and growing the Langhe area would have improved the lives of the people who lived there.

    RISERIA CAPITTINI DAL 1881

    foto05.gif (39348 byte)

  • RONCO MARGHERITA

    RONCO MARGHERITA

We are talking about soils and not a single soil because Ronco Margherita has its vineyards in three very distinct areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia: 10 hectares in Pinzano al Tagliamento where the reception center is also located, 18 hectares in the heart of the Magredi, in the area of Dandolo, in the municipality of Maniago and 8 hectares in the Colli Orientali del Friuli area.

This is one of the most important assets of the company: being able to enclose in its wines the characteristics and typical features of three areas that are so different and so important for the Friulian winemaking tradition.

In fact, the soil in viticulture is very important as a reserve of water and mineral salts which greatly influence both the grapes and the wine: even if the vine is a plant that adapts to any type of soil, the same vine will not give same grapes if grown in soils with different composition and characteristics. The vine, contrary to what one might believe, does not require fertile soil, but on the contrary favors the drier ones.

  • Sgubin Ferruccio - I Vini di Zuffi

Sgubin Ferruccio - I Vini di Zuffi

It is 1960. Ferruccio Sgubin falls in love with his hill, and marries her.

The company was born from the marriage, here in Dolegna del Collio, in the Mernico area: a handful of hectares of land, but it is "Ponca", precious land for making great wines because the small organic remains of shells have been trapped in its layers for millennia and marine organisms from the Eocene era. It is the sandstone marl, rich in salinity which is good for the earth and makes the elegance of the whites unmistakable.

  • TENUTA MORINIELLO Società Agricola a r.l

TENUTA MORINIELLO Società Agricola a r.l

  • Tenuta Roletto S.R.L. Agricola

    Tenuta Roletto S.R.L. Agricola

    Our history
Giovanni Tinetti began cultivating the Guie area (springs used in ancient times for the cultivation of hemp) in the early twentieth century.
It was his passion and that of his daughter Caterina that was also instilled in his son-in-law Enrico Roletto.
In the early 1980s, it was he who ambitiously carried out the project of diversification and expansion of the vineyards which are still the "foundations" of the estate today, also including the cultivation of Erbaluce.
Lastly, Antonino and Domenica began the transformation of the company, from family to entrepreneurial, while maintaining the strong point of this reality: tradition.
“Erbaluce reigns supreme in our vineyards surrounding the estate. A splendid area where our grapes, thanks to the favorable climate, are able to offer wonderful fruit."
    – Domenica Roletto Zabella –
  • TENUTA SOLAR di EGIDIO BOLLA

    TENUTA SOLAR di EGIDIO BOLLA

The Tenuta Solar winery is located in the center of the town of Monteforte D'Alpone in the province of Verona, a town located at the foot of the hills in the classic Soave area. The winemaking takes place under family management, using only grapes from its own vineyards located in the classic area called "Val de l'acqua", more precisely in the "Caselle", from which one of the products also takes its name. The owners can thus certify the origin of 100% Garganega grapes, from native and cru vines, thus guaranteeing the quality of the product, a fundamental factor that guides the processing. Another strong point is the owners' ability to marry tradition and technology.

  • TERRE SAN ROCCO

    TERRE SAN ROCCO
